The Brothers Grimm – Grimm’s Fairy Tales

I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand, the language was clear and easy to understand, but on the other, it also starts to get a little tedious by the end. But overall, it’s a lovely little collection of fairy tales, and it touches upon a whole heap of stories that you’ll already be familiar with, although they may appear in a different form. Hansel and Gretel, for example, was a totally different story to the one that’s made its way into popular culture.

Still, this would be a great bedtime book for parents to read to their children, because the stories aren’t too long and you can dip in and out of the collection. But unfortunately, sometimes it can feel tedious, too. Your call!
