I spotted this little gem in a charity shop and just knew that I had to have it. I’ve been slowly but surely having more and more good experiences with Dickens, and I thought it was cool that this book was specially commissioned for Rothman’s cigarettes.
It’s basically just a bunch of excerpts from different Dickens works with a little commentary thrown in, and I was down with that. It even included some excerpts from some of his lesser known work, and it was also nice to revisit Oliver Twist. Although not so much when it comes to Bill Sykes trying to kill his dog, which made me sad as a kid.
