Ernest Hemingway – The Old Man and the Sea

Despite this being one of Hemingway’s most well-known works, this novella doesn’t do it for me – it was finely written and pleasant enough to read, but I didn’t read Hemingway for a while again afterwards. When I rediscovered him, I discovered a passion, and so I’ve always held something of a grudge against this book because it failed where another book succeeded, in turning me into a passionate fan of old man Hemingway.
