Title: The Beatles

This book is a beautiful hardback with some stunning photographs and replica postcards inside, and it’s designed for serious fans and collectors, rather than readers. You can tell, because while the visual aspect of the book is absolutely stunning, the writing lets it down – there are typos and grammar fails on almost every page, and in some cases the author has managed to get the captions to the photographs wrong, saying that Ringo is Paul or that a photo of John and George backstage shows them performing in front of a crowd.
I was given this book as a present and so I shouldn’t be too harsh, but the truth of the matter is that the frequent mistakes were enough to annoy me, and they’ll probably annoy you too. The only reason I rated it a 6 and not something lower was because of the excellent photography.
