Author: Leonard Cohen

Type: Poetry

Rating: 4/5

I’m a big fan of Cohen’s, and that includes everything from his music to his poetry and his novels. This poetry collection was particularly fun, in part because he used the “C word” so many times.

What’s interesting to me is that I read this one in Cohen’s voice, and so it was almost as though I was listening to an unreleased album. All of the subject matters and themes are pretty typical of Cohen, with the result that this is a cracker of a book that would be a good introduction to his ouvre even if you’ve never even heard his music. Yeah!
