R. L. Stine – Welcome to Camp Nightmare

Welcome to Camp Nightmare is an interesting one, because it’s one of my favourite Goosebumps books, and yet I always thought it was a little weird that I liked it – after all, I grew up in the UK, and summer camps aren’t really a thing here. Still, in some ways, that added to the appeal – it allowed me to imagine it all myself, and it helped me to get involved properly with the story line.

Loosely speaking, the book explores what happens at the mysterious Camp Nightmoon, when a bunch of friends start to investigate what’s going on. All doesn’t seem to be well, and they can’t get in touch with the outside world. It’s a fantastic story, and it keeps you gripped until the end of it – definitely recommended from me.
