This little book is lovely, the perfect addition to any book-lover’s collection. Consisting of a short introduction to the library itself and then a selection of photographs, it’s essentially a celebration of Ireland’s largest library.
Of course, the library at Trinity College Dublin is also one of the most recognisable libraries in the world with hundreds of years of history. When you combine that with the talents of photographer Harry Cory Wright, you’ve got yourself a book that might not be full of information but which you can be damn sure is full of great photos of old books and the library that they live in.
I’ve never had the privilege of actually visiting the library, but I’d like to. In the meantime, this made for a pretty good consolation prize.
