What we have here is a collection of Charles Bukowski poetry. Simple.
It’s actually a little different to most of his other collections, if only aesthetically. Otherwise, it’s actually relatively mellow work that shows us a different side of the author, and as such it makes it an easier, more reflective read than you might expect if you’ve read some of his other books in the past.
This wasn’t my favourite of his releases, of course, but it was a damned good read despite that. It’s probably not a bad place to start as well, and his longer form work is at its best here. Give it a try.
