Disclaimer: While I aim to be unbiased, I was given this book for free. I was also quoted within its pages as one of the author’s sources.
Writing and social media go hand-in-hand these days, which is why I make a living from doing both. This book, then, is an invaluable guide for aspiring authors who want to find out more about getting their name out there – see, social networking allows you to make new friends and to connect with potential readers, editors and publishers, and so it’s a no-brainer.
For me, this book seemed to be stating the obvious, but then I’ve already got a good grip on how to use social – I think most authors of my generation do, and so the ideal reader here would be an older author who’s been writing for years but is yet to get their head around Twitter.
There were a couple of minor formatting errors here and there, but the quality was pretty consistent throughout, and there were plenty of tips on offer here to anyone who’ll listen. It’s definitely worth reading!
