Title: The Dark Side of the Sun
Author: Terry Pratchett
Type: Fiction
Page Count/Review Word Count: 160
Rating: 7/10
The Dark Side of the Sun is short and sweet, about a third of the length of some of the longer Discworld novels, which means that it’s a quick and easy read for any Pratchett fan. Here, the author veers away from his most famous world and has a play around with sci-fi, although you could hardly call it a sci-fi book in the same way that you’d talk about Asimov’s work.
Still, there are all of the elements that you’ve come to know and love from Pratchett here, and whilst the shorter length means that the story line almost comes second, it’s a gripping enough read to keep you going until the end. Besides, this is one of the author’s earlier works, and you’ll get to see a new side of him.
