R. L. Stine - The Girl Who Cried Monster

I have fond memories of The Girl Who Cried Monster - it’s one of my old favourites, a story that’s a bit like The Boy Who Cried Wolf, but with a twist. Lucy’s always telling stories to scare her little brother, and she always thought it was a lot of fun - that is, until she sees a real monster, and nobody believes her.

I’m not going to tell you how it turns out, but I will tell you that it’s a lot of fun, and a good read for both parents and kids alike. It’s even worth going back to it and re-reading it - even when you know what’s going to happen, it’s still enjoyable.
