This book is one of those rare books that has a sort of timeless quality to it in which if you read it without context, you wouldn’t necessarily be able to tell when it was written. I think that’s an accomplishment in itself, and I haven’t even mentioned the ethereal feel to the writing or the way that the whole book feels like a metaphor.

The book’s blurb describes it as part mystery, part fairy tale, which seems pretty accurate to me. You’ll want to read it in one sitting.
